We’re super-busy at Glover Gardens right now and there’s not much time for pastimes (like creating posts for the blog). One reason is that our jobs are in cycles that demand big time investments, at least right now. We’re not complaining – – – we absolutely love having interesting, challenging work that we look forward to accomplishing. What a blessing.
I see a parallel when scrolling through photos from our last trip to Little House in the Rockies. We have multiple hummingbird feeders, and they’re so fascinating to watch. Hummingbirds work hard. They’re steadfast, indefatigable, unflagging, dedicated. They do what needs to be done.
I wanted to write a quick haiku for the hardworking hummingbirds, but somehow, it became two haiku. (Why stop at just one?)
heartbeat, wings beat, fast
i know that frenzied pace, girl –
gather ye rosebuds…
i feel her breathing
role model at dusk
