January Dreaming: A Brighter Shade of Pale

More mindful musings from my friend Rose…she posted on Instagram and I had to share with you here. Y’all know how I feel about January…Rose shares the seasonal malaise (maybe we have Seasonal Affective Disorder / SAD?), but also finds hope in nature and the cycle of things.

Their Time to Bloom

Every living thing has its season to shine. January is always my worst time…I lamented about this to a friend right after Christmas. Given that admission, you can only imagine how happy I was to see my little paperwhites blooming today. They don’t know anything about the sad month with no major celebrations…they only know it’s their time to bloom.

If you read this post, January Dreaming, you know that the inspiration for this series is my Mom’s longstanding loathing of the pitiful month of January. Like her, we’re dreaming of good times in warmer months, and celebrating those good times in this series.
