A Yellow Tie, Flip-Flops and an Alligator

We are at Gumbo Cove, getting ready for Cristobal.

It’s a unique place, nestled on a bayou in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

Yesterday morning, across the bayou, we saw a man dressed for work sporting a bright yellow tie – and flip-flops. I thought it might be a little uncouth to take his picture, so you’ll just have to imagine it.

We also saw an alligator, slowly cruising by.

I thought it would be fine to take his picture. I think he’s beautiful, though menacing. We don’t swim in the bayou, needless to say.

That’s all for now, just a few random things as we batten down the hatches before Cristobal comes to visit.

Stay safe, my friends.
