Today’s poetry challenge from the dVerse Poets Pub is to write a quadrille (44-word poem) using the word “with” in some form. I thought about “with” in terms of my family and friends, the most important “with”, and decided to use lots of forms of the word, with some serious questions set in a playful mode.

don’t go without me, y’all
don’t know where i’d be
without y’all
here?
or there?
or wherewithal?
don’t know who i was
before y’all
me?
or her?
or no one at all?
don’t know what i’d do
without y’all
wither?
withhold?
suffer withdrawal?
don’t go hither or thither, y’all
I love writing to the dVerse prompts but have been AWOL lately because of a super-busy schedule. It’s nice to get back in the groove!
One more of my bird pics to symbolize community, my “y’all”.
