A Mother’s Day Letter from the Past

I found this letter to my Mom in a box of treasures I’ve had for a while…it was a homemade Mother’s Day card from when I was about 22. It made me smile. I’m pretty sure it made her smile, too. She might even be smiling down on me now, from a celestial Mother’s Day celebration with my Dad and brother.

I was tremendously blessed to have you as my Mom, Nancy Joan Harvell, and will remember you throughout my days. It was clear that you absolutely loved being a Mom, as do I.

My favorite picture of Mom and me, in her kitchen in the 80s
Mom with her I Dream of Genie hairdo and my brother and me, on his first birthday

I’m also so very blessed by my kids, the one child that I bore and the others that grace my life through other ties of love. You know who you are.
