Happy Spring to You, from Texas

It’s finally spring again, after an indescribably challenging revolution around the sun. You know; you’ve been living it, too.

Oh how we need spring, the most hopeful of our seasons: when new growth pushes up from the ground or the branch, birds glide overhead with twigs in their beaks and resurrection is celebrated.

Happy first day of spring to you, wherever you are, and here’s to this next revolution around the sun being a little brighter, a little kinder, a little safer, a little saner and a little more joyful.

With that in mind, here’s a Texas bluebonnet for you. It’s our state flower, and this one is still in the process of opening up. I think it is a metaphor for now.
