fallen from grace she was distanced from everything that meant anything to her until she realized that the only grace she needed was her own (those who loved her unconditionally would never withhold grace in the first place) she never fell she only stumbled

This quadrille poem of 44 words was created in response to the dVerse Poets Pub prompt today: It’s Quadrille Monday! The prompt word was “fall”, and the theme is forgiveness of self, rejection of the judgment of others and unconditional love and acceptance.
I love this community of poets and am having a great time responding, when I can.
If you’re a poet, cruise on over to dVerse and check it out!

Seems like so much of what we need in life we actually have within us all along
Isn’t that the truth??!!! There was a wonderful woman who came to speak to us at work who said, memorably, “You HAVE enough, you ARE enough, you KNOW enough”.
You do.
Falling from grace is just a way for others to feel better while falling themselves.
Yeah – being in the cheap seats and commenting on the falls of others belies a lack of emotional intelligence and self-knowledge, for sure.
YES YES YES! Unconditional love means we can recover from our falls….they are stumbles indeed. LOVE this message!
Lillian, the fervent nature of your response will warm me all through the winter!!! Acceptance and unconditional love are the oil that make the mechanisms of relationships really work.
I like that she only stumbled–and realized she had people who supported her.
You caught the meaning I tossed out lightly… thank you.
You’re very welcome. 😊
I love how your photos illustrate the poem!
Thank you! The poem spilled out of me so quickly that I actually think I spent more time selecting the pics!
🙂
A great write!
Thank you, Carol. What makes you feel connected to it?
Powerful write! ❤️❤️
Thank you!
We all stumble sometimes.
Just love it, thanks Kim.
The self-realization that she/ we are already loved by the people that truly matter and we have to find something within ourselves is beautifully put in words and images!
And an even bigger thanks from me to pointing me to this awesome community.
Now I only need to polish up my very old blog a bit and start writing again. 😃
It’s Jan by the way. No idea why it took me as anonymous this time.
