The dVerse prompt for today was all about the moon, a hunter’s moon.

We were instructed to write a haibun (prose followed by haiku) about it. I tried but couldn’t get prose to work, so it’s an unstructured poem, and then the haiku.
Hunter’s Moon
you step outside
intrigued by the moon
darkness abounds
but for the glow
of this amazing
radiant orb
(hunter’s moon)
it sings, silently,
a jazzy serenade
siren song calling
knowing you can’t resist
staring, you acknowledge
that the moon
is your master
(mistress?)
the boss of you
for these few
moments
of silence
(reflection)
and oneness
with the
universe
and you know
(having stepped outside)
that somehow…
you
will
never
be
the same
the moon
is your master
(mistress?)
the boss of you
and somehow…
you
will
never
be…
the same
♦ UNFORGETTABLE ♦

The moon called to me, to write this poem, and then the haiku that follows.
jazzy hunter’s moon
glowing orb demands notice
(unforgettable)
