We see something, and we take it. We make it (as written). And then we make it our own.
We’ve been working on smash burgers for about two years. We found a recipe in Food and Wine that was compelling and very good. But it wasn’t quite… us.
Here is the original recipe.

We first made it at Gumbo Cove. We were enchanted. But we knew we could / should modify it.


We’ve made them here at Glover Gardens, and they were very good!


But we haven’t posted the recipe yet, because we have always felt that there’s something more we could do with it.
Tonight, we’re trying the ‘something more’. We are marrying the themes of our Double Trouble Burger with the smash burger approach, and I’m very excited.
Double Trouble Burgers combine ground pork and ground beef. Have you seen this recipe?
