Our Musical Millennial is one of an incredibly talented crew of musicians in the University of Texas Jazz Orchestra. They have a concert today, and it will be live-streamed…which means you can take a listen if you’re into brand-new jazz compositions performed by in a big-band setup.

About the concert, from the web site:
The UT Jazz Orchestra gives students the opportunity to compose and premiere their own compositions on stage with a world class ensemble. The UT Jazz Orchestra takes pride in the number of student compositions it performs. This concert will be featuring five original compositions, four of which are student compositions from Paulo Santos, Marco Santos, and Thomas Wenglinski. The Jazz Orchestra will also be featuring an original composition from UT jazz faculty, Dr. John Mills.

Since he’s my kid (shown below on melodica), I usually go on about the Musical Millennial, but really and truly, every one of these musicians is amazing. It is a real pleasure to hear them, and experience their professionalism.

More posts about our Musical Millennial can be found here (you guessed it, I’m a proud mama).
The concert will be live streamed from this link from 4:00 – 5:30 CDT today, Sunday, October 13. “See” you there! We were going to watch the live stream but have had a last-minute change of heart and will be there in person. I’ll be the one clapping the loudest.
Kim, be a proud mamma. We have always said If we do not brag about our kids – then who will!
The best part is, he’s nice! I look forward to learning about your kids and will click on your blog after this busy day.
Well, we have five kids, but only three live with us now, one is off in the Air Force saving the world, the other she is not so much into being in this blog, so we try and keep her out as much as possible. But all of them are ours hearts!
Five kids – wow! I bet your home is always lively. We are a blended family, too, but only two boys (one each). I can tell you’re very proud of all of them.
We do love them all Kim, even the trouble makers, lol
