I Entered a Cooking Contest: Can You Cast Your Vote?

Hello friends!

I did a thing; a thing unlike the things I normally do.

I entered a contest.

A cooking contest.

I’ve never done this before.

But the promo snagged me; it snagged me good.

The prize has some $moola$ attached, which would be nice, but the real appeal is cooking with Chef Carla Hall. She’s innovative, creative, and 100% authentic. I heard her on a podcast about 5 years ago and fell in love, and I have her cookbook – Carla Hall’s Soul Food: Every Day and Celebration. She’s awesome!

There’s also an opportunity for an “advertorial” in Taste of Home, which would be cool! So, unlike most of my posts, in which I try to give YOU something – a recipe, a tip, a provocative thought, a picture of a flower, or a poem, this is a post in which I’m asking you to give ME something.

Can you click on the link/the picture below and give me a vote?

Click here to cast your vote – and thanks!

Speaking of thanks – I appreciate every single follower, every person who makes a comment on a recipe, and everyone who doesn’t comment but looks, reads, thinks about the content. This blog is truly an outlet for me, and I love the feedback I get from you. “You have a reader; I want you to know that” a lovely person said to me recently, meaning that she follows and values what she encounters here. It was better than a Christmas gift to hear that!

Your vote would be a gift, too: click here.

    • Glad you pointed that out! No expectations that anyone will pay to vote… That would be a lot to ask! The donation is for the charity arm of the James Beard Foundation, but they don’t get all of the money. Glad you navigated properly, brought this to my attention, and thanks again for voting! I know I won’t win, but this process was really fun.

  • Kim, how fun is this! And Carla is just joy. Voted – and fingers crossed for you.

Tell me what this sparked for you — I treasure every comment.
