So it’s the day after Thanksgiving, and the refrigerator is full of food that made you too full yesterday. What to do???
This is a happy place for me, as I love to repurpose leftovers. It’s like playing with food.
We have leftover mashed potatoes, and this is what we’re going to do.
This time, we’re going to work some pork belly into the recipe as a nice crunchy garnish on top.
And there’s a little stuffing / dressing, so this is what we’re going to do.
There’s leftover ham, too, which is a sandwich-maker’s paradise. The Grill-Meister will be making some kind of sandwich wonderfulness with it, which could be a croque monsieur, following a roaring success with that classic a couple of months ago (sorry, no recipe yet).
Or maybe he’ll do one of the tried-and-true recipes from his collection, like:
Or:
We also have some restaurant leftovers from dining out with our Musical Millennial while he’s back from grad school for the week. So we’re going to repurpose some mussels, salads, turkey, veal and other various and sundry items into a smorgasbordian Black Friday feast. Shopping, NO! Eating, YES!
What will you be doing with your leftovers?
