no time to blink (haiku for earth day)

A haiku for now, today, Earth Day 2020—during National Poetry Month, the spring of COVID-19 and the everydayness of global warming.

blink and we’ll miss it
the half life of last chances
what’s that down the road?
covered bridge
What does it really look like when we get down the road? It’s up to us, isn’t it? This is no time to blink.

Stay home, stay safe, stay sane and stay in touch.
