I love social media for the connections you make. I began posting my haiku about wildly irrelevant and sometimes meaningful topics on Facebook a few years ago, and it “took”. Sometimes I would get haiku in response. Sometimes, someone would post a haiku on their own page and tag me. This is how I came across this beautiful photo and the haiku below. Thank you, Casey Sullivan, for knowing that I would love this art you created. I think of it as the Sunrise Surprise.
As the sun rises
I remember all my dreams
And this day it gleams
